Facts checked against both vendors on September 28, 2026.
Qlik AutoML, now sold as Qlik Predict inside Qlik Cloud Analytics, is the pick if you already use or plan to use Qlik and want no-code predictive models embedded in your dashboards; it is included from the Premium tier at $2,750 a month. Akkio has repositioned as an enterprise AI platform for media and advertising agencies with custom pricing only, so it is the pick only if you are in that industry and want a vendor-led deployment.
No-code machine learning for accessible, powerful predictive analytics.. [Free Trial]
Both of these products started life as no-code machine learning tools for business analysts. Both have moved since then. Qlik's AutoML capability is now marketed as Qlik Predict and is bundled into the higher tiers of Qlik Cloud Analytics rather than sold on its own. Akkio no longer advertises self-serve plans at all: its pricing page shows a single Enterprise AI Analytics Platform with custom pricing, and its home page pitches AI infrastructure for retail media networks and media agencies.
This comparison describes what exists today, what each costs where a price is published, and which kind of organization each one actually fits.
Qlik Predict (the product page for Qlik AutoML) is a no-code machine learning feature of Qlik Cloud. Qlik describes guided workflows that automatically create classification, regression and time series forecasting models, with automatic seasonality detection for time series. Every prediction can be explained with SHAP-based visuals, and those SHAP visualizations update with Qlik's associative selections. Analysts can run what-if scenarios by adjusting inputs, embed predictions directly into Qlik Cloud Analytics apps, and track the model lifecycle inside the analytics platform, with models adapting to new data and feedback.
Akkio's current home page positions it as the AI platform that automates campaign workflows and brings AI infrastructure to retail media networks. The features it lists are chat-based interaction with internal documents and external signals, audience segmentation that combines first- and third-party data, media plan simulation and forecasting, one-click activation of audiences to ad platforms, campaign performance analysis, reporting and no-code modeling. It is deployed in the customer's cloud on existing data, with role-based access controls, and the site states SOC 2, HIPAA and GDPR compliance. The target buyer is a media agency or data provider, and the named users are strategists, data scientists, engineers and client leads.
Qlik publishes tier prices for Qlik Cloud Analytics, and the pricing page states that predictive analytics powered by automated machine learning is included in the Premium plan and above. Starter is $300 a month billed annually for ten people with 10 GB of data for analysis and a 5 GB maximum app size. Standard is $825 a month billed annually for 25 GB of data, with no-cost additional people. Premium, the tier that includes predictive analytics, is $2,750 a month billed annually for 50 GB of data, with additional capacity sold in 25 GB or 250 GB packs and a 10 GB maximum app size. Enterprise is quoted individually and starts at 250 GB. Qlik's product page offers a free trial of Predict but no standalone price.
Akkio does not publish prices. Its pricing page lists one offering, the Enterprise AI Analytics Platform, with the wording custom pricing based on your unique needs, and asks buyers to book a meeting with sales. The listed inclusions are full platform access to domain-specific agents, unlimited customization and integration, 24/7 priority support, enhanced security and compliance, and SaaS or embedded deployment. No free trial is mentioned on the pricing page.
Qlik wins wherever the predictions need to live next to the dashboards people already use. Because Predict is part of Qlik Cloud Analytics, a forecast or a churn score becomes a field in the same app your finance or operations team opens every morning, and Qlik's associative selection model means SHAP explanations update as a user filters. That is a workflow Akkio does not offer outside its media use cases.
It also wins on published, predictable cost. You know that predictive analytics arrives at the Premium tier and what that tier costs per month, which makes budgeting straightforward and removes the need to negotiate before you can evaluate. And the model types are general purpose: classification, regression and time series with seasonality detection cover most business prediction problems, not just advertising.
Akkio wins if you are a media agency or a retail media network, full stop. Its product is now built around audience segmentation, media plan simulation, activation to ad platforms and campaign measurement. Those are domain workflows Qlik does not ship, and Akkio bundles a forward-deployed, vendor-led rollout with 24/7 priority support.
It also wins on deployment flexibility for that audience. Akkio describes cloud-embedded deployment that runs on the customer's existing data, an embedded option for putting Akkio inside your own product, and compliance coverage that includes HIPAA. For an agency that wants to white-label AI analytics into a client offering, that matters more than a dashboard tier.
Pick Qlik AutoML if you want general-purpose predictive models with explanations, you are already on or moving to Qlik Cloud, and you can justify the Premium tier. If you are on Starter or Standard, note that predictive analytics is not included, so the real cost of AutoML is the step up to $2,750 a month.
Pick Akkio if you are in advertising or media, you want a vendor to run the deployment with you, and you are comfortable with custom enterprise pricing. If you are a small team outside that industry looking for the self-serve no-code AutoML that Akkio used to sell, its current pricing page does not offer it, and Qlik, or another self-serve tool, is the better place to look.
