Gigasheet and Lido were once both pitched as modern alternatives to the spreadsheet. As of September 2026 they have moved apart. Gigasheet still sells its big-data spreadsheet, Premium Individual, for self-service users, but its home page is now about healthcare price transparency and negotiated rate benchmarks, and its pricing page lists an MRF Viewer and a Healthcare Price Intelligence enterprise product alongside Premium. Lido's spreadsheet product page no longer exists; the site now describes an AI platform that extracts data from documents, validates it against your systems and triggers downstream workflows, with output to Excel, Google Sheets and CSV. Gigasheet is a spreadsheet-like interface in the browser for files far larger than Excel or Google Sheets can open. The Premium plan is built for analyzing tens of millions of rows with bulk file merging, spreadsheet functions and unrestricted exports; the pricing page notes it is best for self-service users and that JSON files are not supported on Premium. The company's broader business is now healthcare pricing data: the home page describes a Price Transparency Explorer, an MRF Viewer that flattens machine-readable JSON files into a table, an analytics API, rate benchmarks, and an AI agent that builds reports from that data. The MRF Viewer requires an annual commitment, and the Healthcare Price Intelligence product is quoted for enterprises.
Lido is an AI document extraction platform. Its home page describes a four-stage flow: ingest documents automatically, extract structured data without templates or training, validate it against internal systems, and trigger downstream workflows. It handles invoices, receipts, bank statements, purchase orders, medical forms and other documents, including handwritten and scanned ones in any layout or language, and exports to Excel or CSV. Its stated buyers are finance, accounting, logistics and healthcare teams replacing manual data entry and legacy OCR.
Gigasheet's Premium plan is $95 a month billed monthly, or $295 a year, which the pricing page presents as $25 a month billed yearly. It includes up to 25 million rows per sheet, 25 GB of storage, 100 enrichment credits a month, the ability to combine 100 files and unrestricted exports, with an API add-on available. Larger tiers offer 50 GB at $137 and 75 GB at $208 a month, billed annually. Gigasheet's support site says the free Community tier includes 1 GB of storage, and that Enterprise supports individual files up to 250 GB and storage up to 5,000 GB. The MRF Viewer and the healthcare enterprise product are priced separately; the pricing page shows the enterprise product's range as a low of $1,804, a median of $6,537 and a high of $21,743.
Lido's Standard plan is $29 a month for one person and 100 pages a month, with any file type accepted and export to Excel or CSV, and the site offers 50 free pages with no credit card. Scale is $7,000 a year for 42,000 pages a year, up to ten people, API access, workflow automation and priority email and chat support. Enterprise starts at $35,000 a year with custom page volumes, custom ERP integrations and a dedicated US-based account manager with live onboarding. Lido lets you re-process any file within the first 24 hours of upload at no extra page cost.
Gigasheet wins for any job that starts with a huge CSV, log export or database dump. Twenty-five million rows per sheet on the entry Premium plan, 25 GB of storage and bulk merging of 100 files are capabilities Lido does not have. The interface is a spreadsheet, so an analyst who knows filters and functions can work without learning SQL.
It also wins on flexibility of entry: a free Community tier with 1 GB of storage, a month-to-month Premium plan, and an annual price of $295 that is low for the capacity. If you work with hospital and payer price transparency files, Gigasheet's MRF Viewer and benchmarks have no equivalent in Lido.
Lido wins the moment the input is a document rather than a table. Invoices, receipts, statements, purchase orders and scanned or handwritten forms are what it is built to read, without templates or training. Validation against internal systems and workflow triggers mean the extracted data lands where it is needed rather than in another spreadsheet to be reconciled by hand.
It also wins on packaging for finance and operations teams. Scale bundles API access and workflow automation with ten seats, Enterprise adds custom ERP integrations and a dedicated account manager, and the 24-hour free re-processing window helps correct extraction runs.
Pick Gigasheet if your problem is size: files too big for Excel or Google Sheets, or many files that need merging and filtering without a database. Pick it, too, if you are in healthcare pricing and need to open machine-readable files.
Pick Lido if your problem is format: data trapped in PDFs, images and scans that someone is retyping. Start with the 50 free pages, then the $29 Standard plan, and move to Scale when volume passes a few hundred pages a month. If you wanted the old Lido spreadsheet with connectors and automation, it is no longer offered; Gigasheet or a spreadsheet add-on is the closer fit.
