About AfterShoot
Aftershoot is desktop software that takes on the post shoot workload for professional photographers: culling, editing, retouching and delivery in one application. It runs offline on your own machine, so image files never leave your computer, and it works in your own style rather than imposing a generic look.
Culling comes in two modes, an automated first pass or an assisted mode that keeps you making the calls. The model reads the scene and the moment behind each frame so true duplicates are separated from creative variations, and review tools include a survey mode for comparing duplicates, one click rating and a choice of grid or loupe views. Editing can be trained on your own exported images, taught from a Lightroom preset you already use, or started from more than 30 prebuilt styles by other photographers, with a built in RAW editor offering the manual controls you would expect from Lightroom or Capture One. Retouching covers skin, flyaway hair, glare and background replacement across a whole album in one pass. Delivery adds branded client galleries with face detection and a print store.
Pricing is flat, with no per image fees. The complete plan covering unlimited AI culling, editing and retouching starts at $45 a month billed annually. The modules can be bought separately and cost less: AI Culling starts at $10 a month, AI Editing at $30 a month and AI Retouching at $20 a month. Both monthly and annual billing are offered. A 30 day trial gives full access with no credit card.
The company was founded in 2020 by a wedding photographer and a developer, and its published 2026 roadmap adds cull to target selection, personalized AI profiles, advanced masking and cropping, and a fully built in RAW editing workflow.
