About Genmo AI
Genmo is a research lab building video generation models together with a hosted playground for using them. Its public release is Mochi 1, a text to video model distributed under the Apache 2.0 license for individual and commercial use. It can be run locally from the project repository or inside ComfyUI, customized for a specific need, or used with no setup at all through Genmo's own playground.
That split serves two audiences. Developers and researchers get the weights, a command line demo and installation instructions so they can run or adapt an open video model on their own hardware. Creators get a web page where a written description returns a generated clip. The lab frames its models as world simulators intended to support embodied AI research, and publishes that work alongside its team's academic papers on diffusion and video prediction.
Pricing is published in three tiers. Free costs $0 per month and grants 250 lifetime credits, unlocked by adding a payment method that is never charged, with a Genmo watermark on output. Lite is $10 per month for 1,200 credits a month, no watermark, commercial usage and high queue priority. Standard is $30 per month for 5,000 credits a month, no watermark, commercial usage and the highest priority queue with early model access. Annual billing is offered at 20 percent off. The site states that a Mochi video costs 100 credits and a Replay video 50.
One detail worth noting: monthly credits reset the balance to the plan allowance rather than accumulating, so unused capacity does not carry forward into the next month.
