About GPT for Sheets and Docs
This add on from Talarian brings large language models directly into Google Sheets, installed from the Google Workspace Marketplace. A side panel takes an instruction in plain language, inspects the spreadsheet, works out the steps and carries them out in place, so a request such as cleaning a column or building a pivot table happens inside the sheet rather than through copying data out to a chat window and back.
Two kinds of work are covered. Everyday spreadsheet tasks include writing, fixing and explaining formulas, standardizing messy data, splitting and merging columns and rows, removing duplicates, validating values, applying conditional formatting, and building pivot tables, charts and reports. Bulk processing runs one prompt across every row for translation and localization, content generation and rewriting, categorization and tagging, extraction from unstructured text, data enrichment and web research, image analysis and fuzzy matching. The vendor states throughput reaching up to 1,000 requests a minute at peak, depending on model latency and task. Enterprise controls include zero data retention, single sign on, bring your own key, ISO 27001 certification and GDPR compliance.
Pricing is a monthly subscription with usage included. Standard, the individual plan, is $25 per month and includes $25 of usage, with extra usage available to buy. Business, the team plan, is $45 per seat per month with $25 of usage included per seat, and adds team management, centralized billing and limits, centralized AI configuration and custom AI endpoints. Enterprise is custom priced. The add on is free to install and begins with free credits on a trial model.
Each plan gives access to either the Sheets add on or the Excel equivalent, and spaces already billed as pay as you go stay that way while new spaces start on a subscription.
