About Humata AI
Humata AI is a document question answering tool. Users upload PDFs and other files, ask questions in plain language, and receive answers with citations that link back to the exact passage in the source, so every claim can be checked. It is positioned against general chatbots as a system that reads the user's own documents rather than answering from general knowledge.
It suits researchers, academics, analysts and teams working through large document sets, and it is used by universities, research firms and enterprises. There is no limit on the number of files uploaded. Summaries can be rewritten and follow up questions asked repeatedly. Teams share documents with role based permissions, including department and folder level controls on the higher tiers. OCR for scanned and image based text is available on Team and Enterprise plans. Documents are stored with 256 bit encryption in a private cloud, and the tool can be embedded on a website with a single click.
Pricing is published per month. Free costs $0 for one user and 60 pages. Expert is $9.99 per month for up to three users and 500 pages, with additional pages at $0.02 each. Team is $49 per user per month for up to ten users and 5,000 pages, with additional pages at $0.01 each. Enterprise is custom priced with unlimited users and enterprise support.
The company has raised $3.5 million in funding led by Google's Gradient Ventures.
