ReadCube Plus

Papers Pro is now sold as the Plus plan of ReadCube, a literature management platform for discovering, organizing, reading, annotating, sharing and citing research. The vendor's own pricing page states that Plus was formerly Papers Pro, and Essentials was formerly Papers Essentials. It is intended for academics, students and research driven companies that manage large libraries of papers. Users store and annotate PDFs, import from EndNote, Zotero and Mendeley, and cite in Word and Google Docs with a Smartcite tool covering thousands of citation styles. The AI Assistant answers questions about a single paper or across up to 20 papers in a library, with answers linked to the source passages. Plus adds advanced search over more than 150 million publications through Dimensions, AI built search queries, saved searches with alerts, shared libraries for up to 10 users and storage for supplemental file types. A related review workflow supports dual reviewer screening, custom extraction forms with AI autofill and PRISMA reporting. Essentials costs 10 dollars per month or 95 dollars per user per year. Plus costs 20 dollars per user per month or 185 dollars per user per year. Academics receive 40 percent off at checkout with an academic email or ID, and a 30 day free trial of Plus is offered without a credit card.
