About TaxGPT
TaxGPT is an AI platform for tax professionals that researches, writes and reviews tax work. Its research function answers federal, state and local questions with citations drawn from the Internal Revenue Code, Treasury regulations, court cases and IRS guidance, and it is built to refuse uncited answers. The writing function produces client ready memos, IRS correspondence and engagement letters, and document analysis reads tax returns, financial statements and IRS notices and turns them into findings.
It is designed for tax and accounting firms, individual CPAs and tax practitioners, financial advisors and businesses that need tax help. Beyond research and writing, autonomous agents work inside existing tax and practice management software on preparation, bookkeeping, payroll and advisory tasks, and a return review agent audits prepared individual, partnership and corporate returns and flags issues. A client management layer stores documents, tracks entities and filing history, and gives recommendations context from prior work. The vendor lists SOC 2 Type II certification, enterprise encryption and automatic redaction of personal information.
Pricing is not published. Three plans are named on the pricing page: Pro for solo practitioners, Pro Plus for growing practices that need more capacity and the full workflow, and Enterprise for larger practices with custom security, deployment and support needs. Amounts are provided after a demo, and a free trial is offered.
