Mistral AI

Mistral AI is a European model developer that publishes open weight language models and sells them as an API, an assistant and enterprise infrastructure. Its current line includes Mistral Small 4, Mistral Medium 3.5, Mistral Large 3, the Codestral coding model, Mistral OCR 4 for documents and Voxtral for speech. Models can be called through Mistral's EU hosted cloud, through Google Cloud, AWS, Azure, SAP, IBM and Snowflake, or self hosted on premises, at the edge or in a private cloud. For developers the relevant products are Vibe for Code, which runs a coding agent in the terminal, in IDEs and as a background worker, and Studio, the platform for building, testing and running agents and applications on Mistral models. Vibe, the general agent, handles long running work against enterprise knowledge, and Forge trains and aligns custom models. Mistral sells to financial services, the public sector, manufacturing and energy, and emphasizes sovereignty: data can stay in the EU or inside the customer's own infrastructure. The Free plan gives limited messages and web searches plus $10 a month in API credits; Pro is $14.99 per month with higher limits and $15 in API credits; Team is $24.99 per user per month; Enterprise is quoted. API pricing per million tokens is $0.15 in and $0.60 out for Mistral Small 4, $1.50 in and $7.50 out for Mistral Medium 3.5, $0.50 in and $1.50 out for Mistral Large 3, and $0.30 in and $0.90 out for Codestral.
