About HTTPie AI
HTTPie AI is the AI assistant built into HTTPie for Web and Desktop, the graphical API client from the team behind the open source HTTPie command line tool. A user describes a request in plain language, such as asking for the details of a GitHub repository, and the assistant generates the matching HTTP request with its URL, method, headers and body. The user reviews the suggestion, edits any placeholders and saves it, and the saved request receives an automatically generated name.
The assistant suits developers and teams who test and talk to APIs and want to skip looking up endpoints, headers and authentication details by hand. Prompts can be typed straight into the URL field or entered in a dialog, and the desktop app offers a keyboard shortcut for it. Generated requests can vary between attempts, so the vendor advises reviewing each one before it is saved, and it provides thumbs up and thumbs down buttons to feed back on accuracy.
Pricing: The vendor does not publish prices for the assistant. Its launch announcement described a free preview available to anyone with an HTTPie account, and it said more AI capabilities would follow across the platform.
