GistReader is a read it later and web reading app that uses AI to summarize saved articles. It strips pages of ads and other clutter into a clean reading view and supports both single articles and RSS feeds. Every article is automatically summarized so a reader can grasp the essentials in seconds and still open the full text. The service is aimed at people who follow many blogs and news sources and want to get through more of them in less time. Other features include YouTube support, an OPML import for existing feed lists, Pocket integration, keyboard shortcuts, dark mode and no advertising. It also generates AI podcasts from content, with a monthly allowance that depends on the plan. Content and preferences sync across phone, tablet and computer through the web app. There are three paid plans. Bronze costs $5 per month and includes 100 feeds, 100 summaries and 5 AI podcasts per month. Silver costs $8 per month with unlimited feeds, 300 summaries and 10 AI podcasts. Gold costs $15 per month with unlimited feeds and summaries, 30 AI podcasts, early access to new features and priority support. Paying yearly gives two months free. A 14 day free trial requires no payment details, and the vendor notes the service can be used for free with some features limited.
