About Immersive Translate
Immersive Translate is a bilingual translation tool delivered as a browser extension and a mobile application. Rather than replacing the page you are reading, it places the translation alongside the original so both versions stay visible, which is the behavior the product is named for. It covers web pages, documents, video and images in one installation.
The coverage is unusually wide. Documents include PDF translation that preserves the original layout, EPUB ebooks, Google Docs and Zotero libraries. Video includes bilingual subtitles for services such as YouTube and Netflix, subtitle download, live stream translation, and meeting translation for Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams. Images include comic translation and area translation, and quick modes cover selection, mouse hover and input box translation, along with dedicated handling for Steam and AO3. More than 20 translation engines are integrated, among them OpenAI, DeepL, DeepSeek and Gemini, with terminology libraries and context aware translation across more than 100 language pairs. It installs on Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari and on iOS and Android.
Pricing is published in part. The vendor states the tool can be used completely free of charge, with free accounts receiving high quality translation subject to daily limits, and sells a Pro membership on monthly and annual subscriptions with a free trial available. Published refund terms allow a request within 24 hours on a monthly subscription and within 72 hours on an annual one. Gift cards and redemption codes are also sold. The subscription amounts themselves are rendered in the browser and vary by region, so no fixed figure appears in the page source.
Worth noting: translation quality depends on which engine you select, and the stronger engines are gated behind membership rather than offered on the free tier.
