About PDNob Image Translator
PDNob Image Translator is a desktop application from Tenorshare that extracts text from images and translates it. Screenshots, banners, comics, handwriting, social posts and scanned PDFs are captured or dropped into the app, read by its optical character recognition engine, then translated and exported.
It runs on Windows and macOS and is aimed at students, professionals and travelers who work across languages. Processing happens locally, so images are not uploaded to a server, which the vendor presents as both a privacy benefit and a speed benefit over browser based translators. More than 50 images of any size can be processed at once, individual files up to 100MB are accepted, and JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF and BMP are among the supported formats. Text recognition covers 16 major languages and translation covers more than 100. Customizable hotkeys trigger a screenshot and an instant translation, and recent additions summarize, rewrite and check spelling and grammar on the recognized text. The vendor states the app carries no advertising.
A free download is offered for both platforms. Paid licenses are published as a one week license at $12.95, a one month license at $15.95 and a one year license at $69.95, each covering three computers at once and quoted before tax, with a 30 day money back guarantee. Those figures appear beneath crossed out list prices of $29.95, $39.95 and $99.95.
One thing to note: the product sits inside the wider Tenorshare catalog of device repair and data recovery utilities, so the vendor's site mixes it with tools that have nothing to do with translation.
