About Klap
Klap turns long videos into vertical short clips ready to post on TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts. You paste a YouTube link or upload a file, and the service identifies the strongest segments, cuts them into standalone clips, reframes them for a vertical aspect ratio and burns in captions. Podcasts, webinars and recorded talks are the typical inputs.
The automatic editing pass extracts topics from the source rather than slicing at fixed intervals, and each resulting clip is given a score estimating its potential to perform. Reframing tracks the important subject in the shot so speakers stay centered as the composition changes, and the current version of the reframing model analyzes the scene to pick an appropriate layout, with split screen, screencast and gaming presets among the options. AI generated captions are produced for posting alongside the video, clips can be edited before export, and finished files can be published directly to connected social accounts in high resolution.
Three plans are published, priced on the number of clips generated. Basic is $14 per month billed yearly for 100 clips per month and is aimed at individuals. Pro is $39 per month billed yearly for 300 clips per month. Pro+ is $94 per month billed yearly for 1000 clips per month and is aimed at teams. All three include AI clipping, unlimited connected social accounts and analytics. A monthly billing option is offered alongside the yearly rates shown, and higher volume or API use is arranged by contacting the company.
A free trial is available without a credit card, which is a sensible way to check reframing quality on your own footage before committing.
