About Knostic
Knostic is a security platform for AI agents and coding assistants running on employee endpoints. It targets the problem of developers and staff installing agents, MCP servers, skills and extensions that the business has not reviewed, and gives security teams a way to see and control them.
The company positions its product as a control plane for the agentic endpoint. Its Kirin product secures AI coding agents and IDEs, including Claude Code and Cowork, with continuous project scanning, policy controls, configuration enforcement, and scanning of extensions, rules, generated code and MCP servers. Every agent action is checked against policy before it runs, so allowed actions proceed and risky ones are blocked or routed to a human. Other capabilities include shadow AI discovery, detection and response, security posture management, and supply chain scanning of the skills, packages and libraries agents pull in. A second product, AgentMesh, is a threat intelligence catalog for agent skills, MCP servers and extensions.
The buyers are security teams, engineering managers and developers adopting AI agents at work. The founders are Gadi Evron and Sounil Yu, and the company publishes security research and open source tools.
Kirin pricing is published. The Free plan costs $0 per month for individuals and teams of one to five users. The Team plan costs $15 per user per month for five or more users and adds a unified dashboard, role based access control and audit logs.
