About Plask
Plask is a browser based AI motion capture and 3D animation tool. It turns ordinary video footage, from smartphone clips to online videos, into animation data without suits or sensors, then applies that motion to a 3D character inside the same workspace.
The workflow has four steps: import a video, apply the extracted motion to a character, direct lighting and camera, and export. Users can bring their own 3D models, with blinking and physics supported for MMD and VRM models. The tool offers full body and hand capture, multi person capture, automatic camera and lighting, and effects such as motion blur and depth of field. Output can be a rendered video or a 3D asset in FBX, GLB or BVH format for use in Unreal, Unity, Maya and Blender. Scenes can be shared and edited collaboratively. The vendor also offers a done for you service in which its team produces custom dance animations.
Plask publishes three plans. The Freemium plan is free and allows 15 seconds of motion capture per day with 1 GB of storage. Standard costs $18 per month billed annually and includes 10 minutes of capture per month, faster processing and 3 GB of storage. Pro costs $50 per month billed annually and includes 1 hour of capture per month, pre release features, organization benefits and 10 GB of storage. Monthly billing is also offered. The vendor states that animations created by subscribers belong to the subscribers.
