Receiptor AI is a bookkeeping capture layer that finds receipts and invoices wherever they arrive and files them into accounting software with the original document attached. It connects to Gmail, Outlook or any IMAP mailbox and also accepts documents through WhatsApp, iMessage and bulk upload, then reads merchant, date, totals, tax, currency, payment details and line items from each one while preserving the source file. It is built for business owners, finance teams, accountants and bookkeepers who run one company or several. Each document is assigned to the right entity and categorized against that entity's chart of accounts, then published to Xero or QuickBooks with the evidence attached, or sent to Drive, Dropbox, email, CSV, PDF or ZIP. When a document cannot be categorized confidently, the service asks a focused question through WhatsApp or an in app review queue instead of guessing, and stores the answer to inform later decisions. Higher tiers add workspaces, custom automations, legal entity matching, webhooks, and API, MCP and CLI access. Subscription plans are Starter at $29 a month, Growth at $79 and Scale at $199, each carrying included allowances with metered overage: items checked at $0.03 per unit, documents captured at $0.04, agent queries at $0.01, extra accounting connections at $12 each and extra export destinations at $5 each. Quarterly billing saves 10 percent and annual billing gives two months free, and an Enterprise tier is quoted on request. A separate one time Retroactive Scan clears an existing inbox backlog, priced by volume from $0.025 per email down to $0.012 per email above 50,000, with an exact quote shown before purchase. The company says the product was launched in August 2023 by a founder who built it to handle the receipts from his own software agency.
