About SoundHound
SoundHound AI sells conversational AI agents for businesses, built on OASYS, which it calls its voice native Orchestrated Agent System. The agents are designed to keep listening through the noisy conditions of real conversations, and can be deployed to any customer or employee touchpoint, digital or physical, from a single platform. The home page announces that SoundHound AI has completed its acquisition of LivePerson.
The vendor organizes its offering around five areas: service, experience, operations, commerce and in car voice assistants. Industries named are automotive, healthcare, financial services, restaurants, and retail and consumer goods. Control features include guardrails, rule based actions and optional human assistance. A feature called Human Assisted Resolution lets a person on the customer's team, or the vendor's, give an AI agent approvals or direction in real time without the conversation being escalated, so the AI stays in charge from start to finish. Customers can create and manage agents themselves, with AI help, or together with SoundHound.
The buyers are enterprises and brands with large call or ordering volumes. The vendor does not publish prices, and engagements start with a contact request to its sales team.
