Strut is an AI powered writing workspace and notebook for long form work such as essays, articles, reports and manuscripts. It keeps rough notes, sources, an outline, version history and the full draft connected in one place, so a writer can capture fragments, develop them, arrange them into sections or chapters, and then write the full piece with an assistant that sees the surrounding context. It is aimed at students, authors and professionals who build long documents from scattered material. The AI offers eight writing operations: expand, outline, strengthen, summarize, critique, tone, plot and rewrite. Other features include a Voice Profile that revises text in the writer's own voice, audio notes transcribed into the project, AI images for chapters and covers, imported sources in PDF, Word, Excel, CSV, Markdown and text, reviewers who can leave inline comments, and Markdown export. The workspace is free to use. Free accounts collect 2,000 AI tokens each day they visit, up to 80,000 in total, and are limited to one project with up to three documents. Pro costs $9.99 a month or $69.99 a year after a 7 day trial that requires a card. It adds unlimited projects and documents and 1,000,000 AI tokens every month. Local writing features remain available after the AI allowance is used up.
