About Whispp
Whispp develops Voice Reconstruction AI, a technology that converts whispered or otherwise voiceless speech into a clear, natural voice in real time. Unlike noise suppression or speech enhancement, which clean up an existing signal, it generates the full speech signal, restoring pitch, tone and intonation that a whisper lacks. It can also output an anonymized voice so a speaker does not expose their biometric voice identity.
The processing runs entirely on the device, so audio never leaves it, with end to end latency of about 120 milliseconds. The model is language independent and keeps the speaker's own voice and accent. Whisper Detect switches reconstruction on automatically when a whisper is detected. The engine is delivered as WhisppWAVE, a set of SDKs for Android and Windows that plug into existing audio pipelines and conferencing stacks, with versions aimed at mobile, PC and wearables such as hearables and smart watches.
It is aimed at device makers and product teams adding private or discreet calling to their products, for example whispering on a call in a public space. The company was founded from personal experience with stuttering and positions the technology as an accessibility tool as well.
