About Adobe Firefly
Adobe Firefly is Adobe's generative AI platform for images, video, audio and vector graphics. From a text prompt or a reference image it produces finished assets and then lets the user refine them with more than 20 controls covering style, lighting, color and composition. The same models power Generative Fill, Generative Expand and background generation inside Photoshop and other Creative Cloud apps.
It is built for designers, photographers, video editors, marketers and social teams, and it scales up to enterprise content production. Image tools cover text to image, object and person removal, portrait generation, upscaling and style transfer. Video tools generate clips from text or images, animate avatars, upscale footage and translate it into more than 20 languages. Audio tools produce speech, music, sound effects and dubbing. Firefly Boards gives teams a shared space for mood boards and storyboards. Alongside Adobe's own models, the app offers partner models from Google Gemini, OpenAI, FLUX, Runway, Luma AI and ElevenLabs in one interface. Adobe trains the Firefly models on licensed Adobe Stock content and public domain material, and states that it does not train on customers' personal content.
Adobe lists five plans. The Free plan has daily generation limits that reset each day. Firefly Standard is US$9.99 per month with 2,000 generative credits, Firefly Pro is US$19.99 per month with 4,000 credits, Firefly Pro Plus is US$49.99 per month with 10,000 credits, and Firefly Premium is US$199.99 per month with 50,000 credits plus unlimited use of the Firefly Video Model. All paid plans include unlimited standard image and vector generations; credits are consumed by premium features such as video, audio and partner models.
Firefly credits are also bundled with Creative Cloud subscriptions, so existing Adobe customers may already have an allowance before buying a standalone plan.
