About Corrector App
Corrector App is a free online grammar, spelling and punctuation checker. Visitors paste text into a browser editor, and the tool highlights mistakes, explains each one and offers corrections that can be applied with a click. It runs on the open source LanguageTool engine, which the site credits, and it requires no account and no download.
The checker handles up to 15,000 characters at a time and supports English in several regional variants, including US, Australian, British, Canadian, South African and New Zealand, along with Tagalog and more than 25 other languages such as French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese and Russian. It is aimed at students, professionals and anyone writing emails, essays, posts, letters or documents who wants a quick proofread. Alongside spelling and grammar fixes, it offers word suggestions, and the site publishes guidance pages on common errors in each supported language.
The tool is free to use. The vendor does not publish any paid plans, and its about page explains that the service is supported by advertising, so ads appear on the site. The company has added new languages steadily since the beta launch in December 2021 and began work on additional text tools in January 2024.
