About Riff (formerly Databutton)
Databutton now operates as Riff, a platform for AI agents in industrial operations; the Databutton domain redirects to Riff. Its agents take on defined roles such as order confirmation, supplier chasing, invoice matching and exception handling, work their own queues inside a company's ERP and surrounding systems around the clock, and pass decisions that need judgment to a person.
Riff targets manufacturers, distributors and other industrial companies. Prebuilt agents cover order handling from quote to confirmed order, direct and indirect procurement, logistics coordination, production and planning, and aftermarket service, spares and claims. Agents work across email, Teams, Slack, phone, SMS and supplier portals, and are versioned, tested against historical data and promoted through staging to production. People and agents share the same interfaces, such as a buyer workbench showing at risk purchase order lines, and new views can be built by describing them. Every order, exception and correction feeds one shared context, and deterministic tools act inside the ERP with every action logged under rules set by IT. Teams can extend agents or build new ones by talking to them in a studio.
Riff does not publish pricing. It sells through demos and says it is paid on results rather than hours, bundling ready made solutions, engineers deployed inside the customer's organization, an AI roadmap, and training for internal builders.
The company was founded in 2021 and is based in Norway. Buyers who knew the Databutton name should expect an enterprise operations product sold through a delivery engagement, and Riff has announced a $16 million Series A led by Northzone.
