About DNSFilter
DNSFilter is a cloud DNS security service that blocks malicious domains and unwanted content at the moment a device resolves a name, before any connection is made. Because the filtering happens at the DNS layer it covers every device on a network and every roaming laptop or phone without hardware appliances or browser plugins.
It is sold to managed service providers, enterprises, small and medium businesses, and organizations in government, healthcare, education and finance. Machine learning threat detection identifies newly weaponized domains, which the company states it catches up to ten days ahead of third party feeds. Policies draw on more than 40 content categories, AppAware for blocking specific applications, CyberSight for user behavior analytics and shadow IT detection, and a Roaming Client for off network protection. The service adds DNSSEC validation, guest wireless filtering, real time Insights Reporting, single sign on through Okta, Azure AD and OIDC, and integrations with SIEM tools and PSA platforms such as ConnectWise, Autotask and Kaseya. Queries resolve over a dual Anycast global network.
