About Hex Magic
Hex is an AI analytics platform, and Magic is the name of the AI layer running through it. The product is a single workspace where data practitioners write SQL and Python in agentic notebooks, business users ask questions in plain language through Threads, and everyone works from the same governed data. A Notebook Agent takes on whole analysis tasks, from querying to charting, and the Context Engine grounds every AI answer in database descriptions, semantic models, business rules and analytical logic curated by the data team.
Beyond notebooks, Hex turns analyses into interactive data apps for stakeholders, governs metrics through semantic models so answers stay consistent, and provides Context Studio and evals so teams can see what is being asked, how it trends and where the AI is going wrong. Connections cover Snowflake, BigQuery and Databricks, orchestration through Airflow, Dagster and Prefect, dbt, GitHub and GitLab, Slack, and custom integrations through an API and MCP. It fits organizations that want both code first analysis and self serve access without two separate tools.
