About Outerbase
Outerbase is an AI powered interface for working with databases. Its EZQL assistant answers natural language questions about a connected database, helps write and fix queries in an editor, and generates charts. The product also includes a spreadsheet style table editor with plugins, dashboards that can be built by hand or by AI, and a data catalog for defining business terms and viewing relational diagrams. Tables and charts can be embedded elsewhere through open source components.
It is aimed at engineers, researchers and analysts who want to explore and share data without deep SQL expertise. It connects to Postgres, MySQL, SQLite, MongoDB, ClickHouse, Microsoft SQL Server, Snowflake, BigQuery and Redshift, with provider partners including Neon, Turso, DigitalOcean and Cloudflare. The vendor states that data stays in the customer's own database and only an encrypted copy of the schema is stored to power the AI, and that it is SOC 2 Type 2 and HIPAA compliant. The site notes that Outerbase has joined Cloudflare.
Pricing is per workspace with monthly and annual billing. Free costs $0 with 10 EZQL queries a month and one dashboard. Hobby is $9 per user per month billed annually with 100 EZQL queries. Pro is $30 per user per month billed annually with unlimited saved queries and dashboards and all databases unlocked. Enterprise adds compliance, audit trails and custom AI models through sales.
