About Abby
Abby is an AI mental health companion for everyday emotional challenges, relationship difficulties and life decisions. It talks by text or voice at any hour, remembers past conversations and refers back to them, and points out patterns over time. Abby states plainly that it is not a licensed therapist and not a substitute for clinical care, and its crisis guidance directs anyone at risk to call 988 or 911.
It is aimed at people who are working through stress or decisions and are not yet ready, or not able, to pay for therapy, and at multilingual users: Abby speaks 88 languages and can switch between them mid conversation. Users choose a base personality (Professional, Mindfulness Guru, Empathetic Friend, Problem Solver, Tough Coach or Philosophical Guide), layer on modes such as Stoic, Gratitude, Faith or Astrology, and set tone and check in frequency. When a user is ready for a licensed therapist, Abby offers free matching drawn from what it has learned in conversation. An enterprise offering makes it available to companies, universities and healthcare systems, with the assurance that conversations are never shared with employers. The vendor states the product was designed with licensed therapists.
Abby does not publish its subscription prices on the website. The first conversation is free with no card required, every paid plan starts with a seven day free trial, and the amounts are shown inside the app at sign up. There is no pricing page.
Buyers evaluating it for an organization should treat it as early support and triage rather than care: its own positioning is to catch small struggles early and route people to professionals when needed.
