Eightify

Eightify is an AI summarizer for YouTube videos. It is delivered as a browser extension that works directly on YouTube, with iOS and Android apps and a mobile friendly website. A user opens a video, clicks summarize, and receives the key ideas as a concise summary. Summaries come with timestamps so a viewer can jump to specific topics, and the tool offers transcriptions that the vendor says improve on YouTube's own subtitles. A top comment overview shows whether other viewers found the video useful, and summaries and translations are available in more than 40 languages. A summary can be turned into a shareable article or link. The tool handles videos of any length, including long lectures, podcasts and news hosted on YouTube, and it can be used on a creator's own videos. The product is aimed at busy professionals, students, content creators, educators, journalists and casual viewers who want to decide whether a long video is worth watching or pull notes from it quickly. Beyond the summarizer, the site offers related free tools such as a YouTube transcript downloader, a PDF summarizer, an article summarizer and a video script generator. Eightify is made by Rational Expressions, Inc. The site does not publish plan prices. Users sign in to manage a subscription from within their account.
