About Loom
Loom is a screen and camera recorder built for asynchronous video messages. A user records their screen with a camera bubble from a Chrome extension, a desktop app or a mobile app, and Loom produces a shareable link immediately with no upload, processing or rendering wait. An editor trims and stitches clips, adds backgrounds, text, arrows and box overlays, and supports editing by transcript, so a short update can replace a meeting or a long written explanation.
It is used across sales, engineering, support and design teams who need visual context attached to a message. Loom AI adds automatic titles, summaries, chapters and tasks, an automatic call to action, filler word and silence removal, and AI workflows. Transcripts and closed captions cover more than 50 languages, viewer and engagement insights show who watched, and videos embed into Slack, Gmail, Jira, Confluence, GitHub, Notion and FigJam. Recording reaches 4K on the desktop app, with privacy controls, password protected videos and custom branding on paid plans.
Pricing is published per user, with annual billing advertised as saving up to 17 percent. Starter is $0 and covers up to 50 members, 25 videos per person, five minute recordings and 720p video. Business is $18 per user per month and adds unlimited videos and recording length, high definition up to 4K, uploads and downloads, branding removal and priority support. Business plus AI is $24 per user per month and layers the Loom AI features on top. Enterprise pricing is quoted by sales and adds single sign on, SCIM, a Salesforce integration, a 99.95 percent uptime commitment and downloadable user insights.
The Mac application was recently rebuilt, adding 4K capture, custom recording areas and a lighter footprint.
