About Scene One
Scene One is an online book and novel writing application that runs in the browser on any device, including phones. It combines a distraction free manuscript editor with planning tools for fiction writers, and now includes an AI writing assistant.
Writers organize a story into scenes and can build custom wikis for characters, locations and other story elements. The app automatically tracks and tags mentions of wiki items in the prose, so a writer can jump to every appearance of a place or object. Other tools include a Save the Cat beat sheet for plotting, a Revision Board for notes, project sharing with other Scene One users, and PDF and Word exports. All plans include cloud saving, writing statistics and analytics, project and scene reminders, dark mode and focus mode.
The Free plan allows one story of up to 100,000 words including notes, exports to PDF only, and a two week trial of standard features. Wikis created during the trial become read only afterward. The Standard plan is $9 USD a month and removes the project limits, adds Word export, wikis and sharing. The vendor also refers to a Lifetime option, and users can cancel any time.
