About Shadow
Shadow is a Mac app that runs AI on what the user says, hears and sees on screen. It has two main modes. For meetings, it starts and ends with the call, transcribes the conversation, detects the meeting window and captures screenshots, all without joining as a bot or visible participant. When the call ends, it runs a chosen Skill to produce meeting notes, a BANT breakdown, action items or a follow up email, and it can identify speakers and answer questions about both what was said and what was shown.
For everyday work, a keyboard shortcut triggers an Action Skill on any screen. Shadow captures voice, the active window or selected text, and pastes the result into the current app or shows it on screen. That covers voice typing, quick replies and similar tasks. A Skill is simply an editable prompt together with what it captures and where its output goes, so users can adapt the built in ones or write their own.
Output can be saved as Markdown files or sent by webhook to tools such as Zapier, n8n and Make. It is built for professionals who spend their day in calls and writing.
The Free plan costs $0 and includes unlimited transcription, audio recording and smart screenshots, with two weeks of Plus included and no card required. Plus is $8 per month and adds unlimited Action Skills, AI meeting notes, Meeting Skills and AI chat.
