About Sorted
Sorted builds AI recycling technology for material recovery facilities, known as MRFs. The vendor offers three products on one platform, which can be adopted separately: Waste Audit Studio, Sorted Light and SortBot. All are designed to retrofit into existing plants without facility modifications.
Waste Audit Studio is a photo based waste composition audit tool. Users upload photos and receive an export ready composition report in minutes, with no hardware required. Sorted Light is a camera device mounted above a conveyor belt. It scans materials in real time, identifies recyclable items, and triggers colored laser beams that guide pickers to the right materials, while feeding a live dashboard and weekly reports. SortBot is a retrofittable AI sorting robot for quality control and positive recovery, intended to reduce reliance on manual labor.
The customers named are recycling facilities, staffing agencies, facility builders and regulators. The vendor positions the range as low capital expense, and says SortBot is billed by the hour, so customers pay only for active sorting hours.
