About Spot AI
Spot AI is a video intelligence platform that turns security cameras into AI agents for physical operations. Its system streams footage continuously, surfaces only the moments that matter, reasons about them against a standard operating procedure or goal the customer sets, and then acts automatically by sending alerts, flashing lights, firing workflows or updating scorecards.
It is built for businesses with many cameras and sites, with retail loss prevention and manufacturing optimization among the named uses. The hardware stack includes an Intelligent Video Recorder with local storage around the clock and AI processing at the edge, NDAA compliant IP cameras provided at no hardware cost (with PTZ and fisheye specialty cameras available), or the option to keep existing cameras, plus a cloud dashboard for searching and resolving incidents across locations. For retail loss prevention the agents detect behaviors such as cash register theft, after hours activity and vehicle break ins, deliver contextual talk down audio with lights and sirens, clear benign activity, and assemble clips, stills and a summary into a case ready incident record that staff can question in conversation. A free AI assistant analyzes and grades up to 10 minutes of uploaded video without an install.
Pricing is not published. Buyers request a demo, and the company also runs a partner program for resellers and integrators.
Spot AI was founded in 2018 by three friends from Stanford: Tanuj Thapliyal, Rish Gupta and Sud Bhatija.
