About Turnitin
Turnitin is an academic integrity platform for schools, universities and research organizations. It helps educators check student writing for plagiarism and AI generated text, and gives institutions tools to guide responsible AI use and run secure assessments.
Its products are organized by purpose. Learning integrity verifies originality by comparing work against a large academic database and checking for AI writing, inside the learning management system. Turnitin Clarity shows the process behind a student's writing, with analytics and AI insights, so teachers can see how a piece was composed rather than only the final text. Secure assessments lock down devices to block the internet, integrated AI tools and notes, verify student identity and deliver digital exams, including offline. Research integrity scans documents, grant proposals, theses and dissertations for text similarity and AI writing, and the family also includes Gradescope for grading and feedback and ExamSoft for exams.
Turnitin does not publish pricing. The site has no public pricing page and directs visitors to chat with an expert or request a demo. Pricing is quoted to institutions, so cost details must come from the vendor.
