YTSummary

YTSummary is a web service that turns YouTube videos into AI generated summaries using ChatGPT. A user pastes a video link and gets a summary without watching the whole video. A Chrome extension is also available. There are three ways to read a video. Outline mode produces a brief summary with key highlights and more detailed summaries. Mind Map mode shows the key points as a hierarchical visual diagram. Segment mode splits the video into timestamped sections that follow YouTube chapters, key moments or fixed intervals, which suits research and close study of particular sections. Other listed features include summaries in a chosen language, export to image, PDF and other formats, a shareable summary link, and a dashboard that keeps a history of past summaries. The Free plan costs $0 and includes 10 summaries in total, for videos shorter than half an hour. The Basic plan is $9 per month for up to 200 summaries per month and videos under 4 hours, with priority access to new features. The Pro plan is $15 per month for unlimited summaries, any video length, and priority customer support. A yearly billing option gives two months free. Prices are listed in USD and the local currency may appear at checkout, and VAT may apply. Payments are processed by Paddle, and subscriptions can be cancelled from the dashboard.
