Portkey

Portkey is a production stack for teams building generative AI applications, combining an AI gateway, observability, guardrails, governance and prompt management in one platform. The site now announces that Portkey is PRISMA AIRS AI Gateway, generally available to enterprises, and presents it as a way to observe, govern and secure every AI interaction across an organization. It is aimed at AI and platform teams moving LLM applications into production. The gateway exposes a single unified API to more than 1,600 models and providers, with routing, fallbacks, load balancing, retries, and simple and semantic caching to cut latency and cost. Observability covers logs, traces, feedback, custom metadata and filters. Prompt management offers templates, a playground, versioning, variables and API endpoints, and a model catalog, guardrails and governance controls round out the platform. The open source gateway can also be run locally with an npx command. Published pricing has three tiers. Developer is free forever, with 10,000 recorded logs per month, 3 days of log retention and 3 prompt templates, and is described as suited to prototyping rather than production workloads. Production is $49 per month with 100,000 recorded logs per month, 30 days of log retention and 90 days of metrics, with overages of $9 per additional 100,000 requests. Enterprise is custom priced.
