About Alphathena
Alphathena is an agentic asset management platform that automates portfolio personalization for financial advisors. Instead of outsourcing direct indexing and tax management to a third party manager, advisors run the work inside Alphathena and keep control of the client relationship, with the AI performing the analysis and the advisor reviewing the output.
It is built for growth focused registered investment advisers, enterprise home offices that oversee networks of advisors, fintech platforms that want to embed investment capabilities, and banks and trust companies adding a tax overlay. Direct indexing builds customized indexes with client level personalization. Tax loss harvesting runs continuously with automated wash sale compliance. Transition analysis produces client ready reports in minutes. Workflow automation handles communication between advisors and portfolio managers, and an open API lets the personalization engine be embedded in external platforms. Athena AI, the agentic engine, analyzes portfolios across households, generates tax aware transitions and adapts rebalancing logic as conditions change. The vendor states that the platform currently optimizes more than $10 billion in assets across multiple custodians.
Pricing is quote based. The vendor describes the structure without amounts: a platform fee tied to the firm's AUM tier plus basis points on the assets actively managed in a direct indexing strategy, not on the firm's total AUM. Contracts are annual, there is no setup fee, and the annual platform minimum covers onboarding, integrations and platform access. Specific figures are shared in a demo conversation.
