About Avanty
Avanty is an AI assistant for data analysts who work in Metabase, delivered as a Chrome extension. It sits inside the Metabase query editor and helps analysts generate, edit, understand and comment SQL, so they spend less time writing and deciphering queries and more time on the analysis itself.
It suits analysts and data teams that already use Metabase as their business intelligence tool. Capabilities listed on the site include AI explanations of complex queries, automatic comments added to SQL code, auto formatting, and suggested chart titles when you save a question. The extension detects and runs on any Metabase instance, whether self hosted or on Metabase Cloud. On privacy, the vendor states that Avanty needs access only to metadata about SQL queries and never to customer data. Support is offered through a Slack community with responses within 24 hours.
Pricing is published. The Early Access plan costs $19 per month, with a free trial, and is offered to a limited number of users at a reduced price while the product is built out; it includes early access to new features. A Team Plan costs $15 per user per month with a minimum of three users, arranged by contacting the company.
The product is labeled as in early access, so the feature set is still expanding and the current prices are described as introductory. It is tied to Metabase and is not useful with other business intelligence tools.
