YOUS is a messenger with a built in AI translator, covering audio and video meetings, phone calls and text chats. A user creates a meeting, chooses their own language and the language of the other participant, and shares a link; during the call YOUS acts as a voice and text translator and shows a transcript of what each person said. The same translation applies to phone calls to mobile and landline numbers and to messages exchanged inside the app, so each side reads and speaks in their native language. It suits individuals and small teams that regularly talk to people in other languages and want translation inside the conversation rather than in a separate tool. YOUS translates between 17 languages: Arabic, Chinese, Dutch, English, French, German, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Turkish, Ukrainian and Vietnamese. It runs as iOS and Android apps and as a web application in any browser. Chat messages are encrypted and the vendor states it does not store the content of meetings or calls.
